Winemaker Notes

Our 2020 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a delicious and elegant Pinot Noir. A translucent red hue in the glass; cinnamon, raspberry, and earthy notes are prevalent in the nose. Upon tasting, red fruit and baking spice aromatics combine with a balanced acidity and a long finish on the palate.

Vineyards

The 2020 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir was produced using fruit from two vineyards in the AVA: Moore Family vineyard and Horse Ridge vineyard. Moore family is located outside Sebastopol and Horse Ridge is located at the southern tip of the Green Valley sub-AVA of the Russian River Valley. Each gives their own unique characteristics and impacts to the fruit and finished wine.

Technical Notes

Barrel Description: 25% new French Oak, 75% once used French Oak, Gauthier and Rousseau cooperages

Barrel aging: 14 months on the lees, with a monthly stirring
